Epilepsy and intellectual disability linked protein Shroom4 interaction with GABA-B receptors shapes inhibitory neurotransmission

Here we reveal that knockdown of Shroom4 severely impairs GABAB receptor activity.

In collaboration with Dr Jonathan Zapata and Professor Maria Passafaro (CNR, Milan, Italy) we show that knockdown of the intellectual disability and epilepsy related protein Shroom4 severely impairs GABAB receptor signalling in hippocampal neurons.
